Designed by Powers Brown Architecture, this 4,226,749 SF facility houses engineering and testing labs, a distribution and logistics center, engineering, assembly lines, purchasing and many supporting departments for Daikin, Goodman and Amana brand heating and cooling systems. Daikin is a global heating, cooling, and refrigerant manufacturer. The owner requested that all business functions for the 497-acre campus be housed within the same building. The facility is located northwest of Houston in Waller, TX.
When complete, the facility will be the world’s largest tilt wall building with 370 panels measuring more than two miles in length. It will also be the largest and one of the most technologically advanced HVAC manufacturing facilities in the country.
D.E. Harvey Builders is the general contractor and delivery is scheduled for Fall 2016.
Gorrondona Engineering Services, Inc. provided the Geotechnical Engineering and Constructions Materials & inspection for the project.
